The dual-fuel system, when fueled by gasoline, the General Motors 3.0L engine can produce 89 horsepower (66.3 kW) at 3000 rpm; when fueled by propane, the engine achieves 79 horsepower (58.1 kW) at 3000 rpm.
The use of propane has the potential to help accommodate emission standards. According to the Propane Education & Research Council, propane-fueled systems may produce up to 11 percent fewer greenhouse gases than diesel, and up to 24 percent fewer than gasoline.
